Customer Care? MY ASS!

I’m fed up! VERY FED UP! I will NEVER buy any Creative MP3 players again. It’s very disappointing for a local company to have such bad customer service. I have always been proud and supportive of Creative, but now, NO MORE!

Let me tell you why.

1) After you buy a Creative product, you are told to register your warranty online and there’s no warranty card attached in your product. So following instructions, you register your product online. Now when you need to service it, they tell you that you need the receipt, which they didn’t tell you to keep in the first place. So when I told them that my MP3 player was a gift and I have no receipt, the “Customer Care Consultant” told me to just bring it down and they will check the serial number of my MP3 player for the warranty status. So off I went to Creative HQ at Jurong East, and the guy over the counter told me that according to the serial number, they can only determine which date it is shipped, and not when the player was bought, eating 4 months off my warranty. I was shocked. I told him that I registered online for the warranty, and guess what? He told me that the online registration was only for MARKETING purposes, for them to send me emails asking me to buy more of their products. WTF? So the online registration was just a marketing scam? No warranty had been registered at all!

2) The MP3 player is an audio device, and being an audio device means that it will be connected to earphones, portable speakers and such very frequently. But a common problem most of the users had was that the earphone jack get loose and gives intermitten audio after some plugging and unplugging. WTF? This is an audio device you are talking about, I have never seen any audio device such as a cd walkman or even an old cassette walkman that has such a fragile earphone jack! And not to forget, when they market the device, they also marketed matching speakers and earphones to be used with it. But if you use them often, you spoil your earphone jack, logical?

3) When I asked about the location of the Creative HQ, I was told that it was just opposite IMM. So when I reached, I saw IMM, but no Creative. So I looked around, and Creative was at the other corner, about 3km across. YOU DON’T FUCKING CALL THAT OPPOSITE WHEN THE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU IS A FUCKING 3KM WITH ALOT OF ROADS IN BETWEEN. If that guy had said that it was near IMM, I would have accepted, but opposite? NO WAY IS IT OPPOSITE!

Pissed, I very pissed. This is the first time I am Levitra buy swearing in my blog! I will never ever buy Creative products again. Maybe except for the computer sound card, which the ONLINE WARRANTY doesn’t really matter. Apple, here I come. lol.
